{Holy CRAP .... where have I been?!?!}

I know right!! I have been at work mostly, and sometimes at home, I have been spending time with my family and sometimes my friends ... I have a brokenish camera and do not have many pics to share, but I will do my best. I am spending the next few days getting everyone up to speed on all things Bealer Babies, and I promise to never leave you hanging like that again. Love you all miss you all.

For those if you who do not know, we got 2 new puppies, in April I believe. We have a Chocolate Lab/great Dane mix named Moose {because he is chocolate and will be as big as moose when he grows up. And a pure bred Black Lab named Diesel {cause we liked the name and LOL, Mike is a diesel mechanic.} The goal was to train them to go hunting with Mike, we did not meet the goal but we are still working on it. Diesel is a very sweet , very fat puppy who wants to do nothing but be by you and get loves. Moose is a curious puppy who love to chew {we always have bones around} and play with Diesel. Moose can be a little clumsy but he is very sweet, even when his curiosities get him in trouble. We were luck to have a friend of mine {Denise} get some pics of them at random times. I was taking some pics of them last night and thinking on how small they used to be .... and how big they are now ... how that they are still growing. We love our baby puppies, they have been an added blessing to our family.

while I am at it I am posting about Joey's birthday too. Joey turned 9 on Feb 28th. As I watch my kids get bigger I know they are getting older, but I do not feel like I am getting older. Joey was 3lbs 7oz when he was born. And now he is a whopping 48lbs. He may still be little, but he has so much to give. Joey is my sweet boy who always wants to cuddle and give loves. Joey is in 3rd grade and can not wait for summer and to be in 4th!! This year we were able to give joey a party at Jungle Quest (a indoor zipline place.) He worked very hard in school to earn a party that involved the whole class. Everyone had a lot of fun and

Ellie turned 5 this year ..... Yep my baby will be in Kindergarten in the fall. She is full of spunk, loves to dance, sing and has a lot of fun helping cook meals. Ellie has a lot of funny things that come out of her mouth she definitely keeps us entertained.She is also a little mother. She wants to take care of me, mike and her brothers. She does tend to boss around the boys and most days they just take it. She is a very tough little one who doesn't cry much when she is hurt, but can get the tears going to get what she wants from her brothers and daddy. It has been a lot of fun watching her grow up, and become the girly girl she is today. To celebrate her birthday I took her and her best friend Ashlynn to get their nails painted and feathers put in their hair. The girls giggled and had a lot of fun. It was nice as a mom to see her happy.

I know I have been MIA. But this is a new year and I have a new plan. Today's Retro Post is about Valentine's Day .... I know not too retro, but I have more fun stuff for next week and am excited to share our LoVe with you!!! We had a lot of fun celebrating this year, I even got a chance to sneek in a few crafts. It was my year to give to Mikey so I planned a few things. On Sat. 02/12/11 we went out and bought a new bed spread and got massages { I know that bed thing does not seem romantic but we needed it and and new bed is always fun!} Then Sat. evening we went out to dinner at the Cherry Cricket .... it's been around for a long time and was featured on the Travel channel and the Food Network. The burgers were Awesome ..... we had a great time and my brother Cary was able to come celebrate with us. Sun 02/13/11 morning Mike made HeArT shaped red velvet pancakes and I gave Mike and the kiddos their Valentines. I thought that besides the Valentine parties at school on Mon. 02/14/11 we were done. But I was SuRpRiSeD when I came down the stairs Monday morning and there was a Dozen Roses waiting to surprise me from Mike. What a fun holiday this year. I LoVe YOU ... MY FAMILY!!

Well, my last post was 10/04/10 and I guess there was an entire month in there. But that month is gone and besides going to visit family for Thanksgiving, we are just going to leave that month gone!!

I am very excited to be back in the real world and starting to decorate for Christmas. I will post pics once I get some done.

It has been about 4 years but today I ordered our Christmas cards. I am so excited to send those out!!!! Yeah!!!!

It has been an incredibly hot Aug and Sept. So with October comes the cooler evenings and the knowledge that it always snows around Halloween. Only a few more weeks if that if the warm. So this year for the forth of July it ... RAINED ... and bad!! Joey was in Montrose with my parents so that is why he is not in any of the pics. We ended up at my bother's Kendall and Cary's house. The video is of a huge rain puddle that my brothers dared Gavin and Ellie to go sit in ... Ellie won that bet, it was still fun and silly and we watched fireworks on TV to avoid the rain!

On June 3oth, eclipse (the 3rd movie in the Twilight series) came out in theaters. I had so much fun going with all of my Eastlake ward Pals. We even had werewolf cupcakes and had a ton of laughs waiting in line together. The movie of course was great and I am glad to have that memory! Thank you girls for a really fun evening!

The second week of June my three kiddos spent a week in Montrose with my parents. My brother Gordie's kiddos were there too and so my kids got a chance to get to know their cousins that live in Alabama. They had a really fun week, we were able to bring the girls back with us for a few days. They all had a blast and fun summer memory. Gordie's kids are Cortland "8", Sofia "6" , Eva "3".

Joey, Gavin and Ellie were in dance last year. At the end of each school year there is a big recital called the "Memories Show". Joey was in ballet, Gavin in ballet and Tap and Ellie was in a Tap/Ballet class that did a ballet number in the show. I was so proud of me little ones and bonus we do not have to buy any Halloween costumes ... LOL!

I have been the worst blogger this summer and I am truly sorry. I fell like this summer has beet the shortest/craziest summer ever. Between Joey being in the Montrose (it felt weird taking pictures of Gavin and Ellie without Joe Joe), the funeral, weddings and reunions there has not been much time for blogging . So I am excited to bring to everyone an August Update, I will chronic all the goings on this summer and get all caught up and back in the wagon. Oh did I mention Mike and I are trying to move? Our lease is up in less than a month and we will (if all goes well) be moving into a house!! That is a whole other post/craziness all together, I will keep all posted on that one. O.K ... here I go!!

First Day of School .... 08/18/2010

Joey and Gavin started school today. The summer did not seem long enough and all though I am ready for the routine and schedule I will miss the lazy days of summer. The boys and I were talking last night after back to school night. Joey is a very good reader and Loves to read to Gavin who says he is not a reader but a writer. And all though I tried to explain to Gavin that if you love writing you read what you and write and so he is a reader (somehow that did not work :(. Another year and another chance ror nightly reading ... Gavin reads well he just thinks too hard about it. I hope that this year the boys have an easy time and enjoy the class and teachers around them. I hope I can remember when they need to be encouraged and when they need to be reminded of their tasks. I hope they grow a litter taller but more so they grow in talents and friendships. I love my boys, I am proud of what they have done to get to where they are now and Hold much Hope for all that is to come. Good luck Boys!!

Britney passed away this morning (6/24/10) around 5 am, she was surrounded by family both here on this earth and in heaven where she was welcomed with open arms. I am a better person to have known and loved her ... she is the example to me on how I should live my life ... I miss you Britney, our long talks, and the things you have taught me. My cousin Britney is on life support right now and all though the plan is to let her go and take her off today (I have not heard yet if or when it will happen) I will know once I am there and know she is in a better place. I do not have time to recount everything. She has been sick for a year now and it seems finally time to let her go. I feel like I have been saying goodbye for a year and also holding so much hope for a miracle or change. Not seeing that the miracle was her being here with us for a year to say goodbye and the change being her getting sick so that the "letting her go" part will be quick and humane. I loved her like a sister, she helped me at so many points in life I can not count. She knew the right thing to say and when to say it, she was an example of the kind of wife/mother/sibling/daughter/friend I want to be and should be. Britney I know I will see you again and have faith that Heavenly Father has a greater work for you to do and need for you. Please tell Grandpa HI, take care of each other. It will but a moment to you, but will seem like forever to me until we are together again. I will love on your babies and tell them fun stories of you growing up and what a mother you were. Thank you for all you taught me in my life, I hope that I can feel you around me. Wish you were here right now to help me heal .... always in my heart, in my prayers, in my mind ... I love you ...

Meet ** BUDDY ** in the second grade they study bugs (thus the bug play) There were four lizards and you could sign a permission slip for your child if it was OK for then to be in the drawing to bring the lizards home as a pet. Joey did not even know I signed the slip, so when he won one of the lizards he was not sure if I would let him keep it .... LOL! Well he named him Buddy and we have had fun with him. We got a good deal in a tank set up and even got him a girlfriend :) Gavin wanted a lizard also and these were only $5. Gavin named his LIZABELLA (pics to come later) easy pets really. The second day we had Buddy Gavin got freaked out cause he pooped on him while he was holding him, so he tossed him on the couch, proceeding to loose the poor guy. I figured Beau ate him or I would find him in a dry shriveled hump. 2 days later Joey was eating breakfast and yelled because Buddy was climbing up the back of the couch. Crazy Lizard, he is safe and sound now, lesson learned .... he he he!

Every year the 2nd graders do a bug play for Celebration of Learning at the boys school. Joey was an army ant, he had a lot of fun. Sorry the video is not great (we were in the back) but it was fun! Joey is in the front in the army green clothes, he has an army helmet on with antennae but I do not think you can see those .... ENJOY!

This first collage is of the first Celebration we had. Joey was baptized Sat. April 3rd, and because we did it in Broomfield and because everyone made the trek North we decided to have the "Rowley" Family Easter dinner at my brothers Kendall and Cary's house. We had great food and even a mini easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day to spend with family.

Joey was baptized Sat. April 3rd. I can not describe the feelings that I had that day .... it is surreal to think that 8 years ago my sweet Joey was born 2 months early and only 3 lbs 7 oz. I am so proud of his choice, I am so thankful that he is such a fighter and I am grateful for his silliness. It was nice to be with all of the family and friends that shared that day with us.

Joey had a project at school that he worked on for weeks. He had to research a president and choose three activities to do around that research, one of the activities was to dress like that president. Joey had to dress like John F. Kennedy, we bought him a new shirt and tie. He had a good day and walked around with a sense of pride that day. He wanted me to take a picture before he went to school and this is what we got ...... he he he he ......... love him :o)

Joey turned 8 on Feb. 28th. He has had a couple of celebrations, but the biggest one is yet to come. Joey will be Baptized April 3, with his cousin. He was able to have a sleep over and then on his birthday we had our dear friends the Brassard's over for lunch and cupcakes. there was a lot of mess, but it was a lot of fun. We are going through the winter crud. Miss Ellie Belle had the joy of pink eye. She did not seem to be in any pain, she disliked the anti-biotic eye drops more than her eye seemed to bother her. She is very good at sharing but luckily for us did not share this with anyone else in our family! I hope that we are on the mend with all of the winter sickies. P.S. it looks like we beat her up, I promise she was not :o)

Ellie turned "4" on Jan. 25th, but on Sat. Jan. 23rd we had a "Fairy, Dress Up" party. We had it in the clubhouse and were able to use the big movie room to watch the Tinkerbell Movie. My lovely friend Lisa came to help do some face painting all and all the girls had a lot of fun! Mike and I did too really!!

It is a double dose tonight because I am posting about Gavin and Ellie's birthday's. Ellie turned four on Monday, wow I can not believe my baby is four all ready. Ellie is a girly girl, she loves princesses and fairies, anything pink, dressing up and looking cute. She is a lot of fun right now with all of the funny things that come out of her mouth. She started pre-school this year and loves it. At the beginning of the month she started in Sunbeams at church, she has even given her first talk :o) Ellie is so sweet and loving, she can be rough and tumble with the boys if the need presents itself, but can be so tender and loving too. We lover her to the ends of the earth and can not imagine our family without her.

A little Dose of Gavin

Gavin turned 6 on Jan. 8th. He is in all day kindergarten at Hulstrom Options school (a k-8) He is really into mini skateboards, anything to do with art {painting,coloring,clay,cutting paper, etc.) He still likes to play with girl toys, but seems to be growing out of that more and more. He is very sweet and loving, he is very patient with Ellie and tries to be good and do what is right. School has not hardened him too much and I am thankful for that too. He can read and is doing really well in other subjects at school as well. We love him very much and know that our family would be very different with out him. We are thankful he was sent to be a part of our family.

I have been slacking on the "retro Wednesdays" so a day late but here we go, back on track!! Today's is retro because it was yesterday {he he he he} and Wednesday because they were taken on wednesday. My brother Cary has been staying with us and I am so grateful for his help he has given me with the children. He has quickley become their favorite uncle. Cary climed on the counter and Ellie wanted in his arms, they looked so cute together that Cary and I decided to take some pictures. They were being so silly, Cary always makes Ellie laugh, and my big tough brother is mush in her hands too! In some of the pictures she is feeling his whiskers and in others he is giving her a hard time. They had some pictures together that looked really good. They turned out great, if you ask me {wink, wink}

{Girls just wanna have fun}Ellie and I had a lot of fun going out for a "girls" afternoon of shopping. For those of you who have ever been to Montrose you know that means {Target, J. C. Penny, Maurices, or mom and pop shops} We ended up at J.C. Penny's cosmetic department. Kayla walked the isles and helped Ellie try out any thing she wanted. So Ellie ended up with pink and blue eyes with glitter, blush and RED hot lip gloss! It was a lot of silly fun, even I tried on some makeup. Go J.C. Penny!!

We just got back from a short/relaxing trip to Montrose. Mike was able to only stay one day, but luckily the kids and I stayed for about 4 days. We laughed, ate, took naps, stayed up late and meet my brother Brody's girlfriend Kayla. They meet at BYU. One evening we went to the Hot Springs in Uray, CO. The snow began to fall almost as soon as we got there. It was so beautiful and calming. The water was so hot {love it} I wish we had springs closer to us here in Thornton, guess there is always the hot tub right?!? he he he he he . . . maybe not :o)

We had a crazy Christmas this year. It all started Friday night the 18th. I came home from work and Mike and the kids were sitting on the couch looking at the tree. The kids asked me very nicely if they could open a present {they had been sitting there for a couple of weeks} I looked at Mike and an idea was born. Mike and I had some crazy work schedules around Christmas day and I really wanted to enjoy the day with the kids and Mike. So we decided to let the kids open a couple of gifts and then we would text Santa to see if he could stop at our house early. Well Santa was to busy {tired} to come Sat. morning but luckily for the kids he came Sun. morning. There were still some gifts left to open under the tree but we left those for the 25th. The kids enjoyed their spoils of the season and Mike and I were able to relax and enjoy with them.

The morning of the 25th we were blessed to sleep in, make a huge family breakfast, open the last of the gifts, be visited by Mike's parent's and siblings and then enjoy a couple of hours at the Brassard's before I went back to work to do an overnight shift.

WOW, what a day. We hope all of you Christmas's were filled with Joy and magic and we hope in all the crazy the Reason for the Season was remembered. We love you all and miss you all!!

Mike is "30" I can not believe he is that old! J/K {my day is coming} Mike did not want to do anything big or rather at all for his birthday. So in true Dee Dee style I planned a surprise dinner out with friends. It is rough to have a birthday on Halloween we you are a kid, even worse when you are a daddy. We were unable to celebrate on his birthday {we did sing to him at the Halloween party} so we went out to dinner the next evening. We went to The Old Spaghetti Factory and had a blast. Neither Mike nor I had ever been so it was a lot of fun. The food was great and we were glad to spend in with a few friends {Devin and Jacquelyn, Shantel and Gerardo, & Arif and Karry} Happy thirty love, I love you. Can not wait to see what surprise I will have for you @ your 40th!

{Best Buddy Sleep Over}

Happy Veteran's Day! There was no school today and so we invited Gavin's best friend Zach over for a sleep over. Gavin and Zach meet when they were 3 at TLC Preschool and for over almost 2 years they have had a standing play date on Tues. afternoons. It was a huge culture shock, to Gavin, when he started Kindergarten and did not have Zach with him {he is at a different school} So we try really hard to keep getting them together. They played, watched movies, ate popcorn, ad had fun with was/candy mustaches, even Ellie and Joey had one! It was fun to see those two together and having fun!

We had a lot of fun this Halloween. I still had family in town from the wedding we had the weekend before Halloween. We had a PaRtY at my aunt's house in Littleton! It was a lot of fun to spend time with cousins. Joey was a "hunter", Gavin was "Count Dracula" {thank you Amanda}, and Ellie Ann was a "50's girl". I used Gavin and Ellie's dance recital costumes from this spring and converted them. Joey had the camo shirts and some boots, he loved the $10 shot gun Mike picked out for him!! And also this Halloween was Mike's 30th birthday {that is another post, coming soon}

Snow days makes baby puppies wanna pee inside!! No accidents yet today, but I am a good puppy mama! Beau does not want to go outside, let alone stay out there long enough to do his business. I thought I would get a cute video of his first romp in the snow, just kidding. Beau just ran right back to the front door. I had to keep picking him up and putting him out in the cold snow to do his thing, he eventually did what he needed to and then came in. I wrapped him in his blanket and Ellie loved him warm and to sleep.

Joey and Gavin have had to brave the snow and go to school already today {thank heaven for carpools and this was not my day to drive} Ellie and I have not even gotten out of our jammies yet today! Lot's of snow, cold and wind! Ellie looked out the window and told me she was going to make snow angels, we went on the back porch to see the snow better. I took this picture if Ellie on Conference Sunday. She was all cuddled on the floor ready to listen. She did her own hair that day and put a flower bow right on the top of her hair. I thought it looked silly but somehow made this picture really cute. I can not believe that my baby will be 4 in January, nor can I believe the things she thinks of or the little person she is becoming. When I look at this picture it has become one of my favorites of her. She is so innocent and not at the same time. I love her so much and feel so blessed she is mine, I know the lord knew what he was doing when he sent Ellie to me.

We have a new member of our family . . . Beau. Beau is a "pure bred hybrid" i.e. he is a puggle. His mother is a Beagle and his father is a Pug. He was born Aug. 29th and joined our family Oct. 17th. Mike and I originally talked about getting a puppy for Christmas, but as you can see Mike could not wait that long { I guess I wanted him a lot too!} Beau is a really good puppy and has a perfect personality for our family. He is sweet, loving and wants to always be with us. He will come follow you around and sit at your feet waiting for you to pick him up. He is a little teether and we are helping him learn what are his toys and what is not ok to put in his mouth, no major causalities yet. I love how Beau will come and curl in your lap and just crash, he is still a baby :0) We are very excited to watch our "puppy puppy" {Ellie's name for him} grow and all the memories we know are in store.

One more for tonight . . . My friend Sara knows a lot of words to a lot of songs. One of her favorite or should I say one she knows well is "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix A Lot. Well Gavin and Ellie were watched by her and so along with her children Gavin learned the words to the song. He can do a lot more than he was on the video. When he gets stuck Joey helps him out!

Here mom, this one's for you!! Gavin watched a "Salsa Dancing" competition on T.V. and his interpretation of the way the men move their hips turned into more of a "Chip and Dales" dance than salsa. This one always makes me laugh!!! There is a little "tap" in there too from dance class!

Because I have so much in the past that did not get a chance to be "blogged" about I have decided that every Wed. will be RETRO Wednesday! Today's post is a bit new it was Aug 7, Mike's brother Todd and his wife Rachelle were in town to visit so the whole Bealer family got together for some summer fun at our pool! There were a lot more pictures than I have space or time to post, but Mike's family is a little big!! He He He He little big that's funny! Well hey I am laughing, and now technically talking/typing to myself, ummm ok enjoy.

Yesterday Wesley Mikawa (my new nephew) was blessed. Now I am sorry to say that my camera did not make it out to take pictures, but I did get pictures of Ellie before we left the house. With the help of Aunt Jenna Ellie's Nails matched her dress. It was fun to be that matchy/matchy for the day.

Aug 25th, the day after Joey's endoscopy Gavin missed his first day of school. Gavin is allergic to mosquito bites, if he gets one the whole area around it swells and gets hard. Like he got one on his check and his eye swelled shut and started turning purple! Poor guy. He had to stay home and take a lot of Benadryl to get that swelling down. Ended up that there were three in that side of his face but only the one made his eye swell.

Joey had an endoscopy . . . on Aug 24th actually. He was having symptoms of reflux or GERD disease and so his allergist suggested we take enroll him in a study that is for reflux. He was a trooper, he needed general anesthesia, but he kind of thought that was cool. Missing a day of school is cool too!! He had to watch what he ate for the next hrs so Mike and I took him to Baskin Robbins for a special treat when it was all said and done. So currently he is enrolled in the study and because he has a stomach infection he is only some major antibiotics. The meds do seem to help, he will get another endoscopy to see the progress so . . . I will let all know how that goes!

Ellie's Official First Day of School

Never have a Dad do a Mother's job. Lesson learned . . . sorry Mike. I asked Mike to take a few pics of Ellie on her first day of school, I shot this one before I left for work. Mike did take one pic but it was on his cell phone and so I will get some this weekend and post some "fakes" so you can all enjoy how cute and excited she is for school. She did great on her first day, she was class leader and Mike said she put her backpack on around 7:30am and did not take it off until she was hanging it on her hook in school at 9:30am! I am so glad that she loves school and feels like such a big girl cause she gets to go! My baby is growing up!!

We were able to go to Mike sister Karin and her husband Denni's house to visit Wesley and the girls (on 9-05-09). I had a lot of fun helping Karin decorate his new room, I do not have pictures of that but Karin will! The kids were glad to see each other and of course Ellie had a lot of fun holding Wesley. Mike fell asleep with him in his arms, he really wanted to hold him, maybe we will have another ;) we will see!

Gavin started Kindergarten this year. He is at Hulstrom K- 8 school with Joey. Gavin is in all day K, he is handling the tiredness well so I can't complain. When Mike and I woke Gavin for the second day of school and he said he was excited to go back but it was long he said " I was there for like an hour !" Mike and I laughed and were like yay. He was there for 5 hours. Joey started 2nd grade (and no I am not old enough to have two in school ;) Joey is in Mrs. Twele's class, he is really martured this year. I am not sure if it has anything to do with gavin being there now and Joey is the older, wiser brother with all the answers, but I like it. Ellie will go to TLC Pre-school on Sept. 8th. She loving calls it Gavin's school because he was the last to attend there. She is a crack up, when I told her that her teacher's name was Mrs. McDonald Ellie asked me if her teacher was a girl or a cow, I died laughing. She was thinking old McDonald had a farm. I hated to disappoint her and tell her that her teacher was really a girl. These are some pictures of the first day of class for the boys.

Well here is goes again I am starting a new family blog and really feel like this one will be the last on our stop to blog nirvana. Don't get me wrong I love the Baby Jelly Beans site we have, but as neglected as it has been I needed to have a blog that was free. We pay like $8 bucks a month, not that much at all really. But when you are re-doing a budget you try hard to cut out unnecessary costs. A blog we have to pay for being one of them! I noticed too that the last post besides a quick hello a few weeks ago was around Easter!! I really want to keep everyone informed of what is going on the world of the Bealer Babies and so . . . no promises but I will try!!
